Defending champions Bayern Munich have extended their unbeaten run to 16 matches after coming back from a goal down to hammer Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 away from home.
Leverkusen got on the scoresheet as early as the 10th minute, when Lucas Alario evaded Bayerns offside trap and tucked the ball home.
But, the hosts conceded three goals in less than 20 minutes. First Kingsley Coman found the equalizer in the 27th minute after finishing off a rapid counter-attack, with a clinical right-footed strike.
Then, on the verge of half-time, Leon Goretzka turned the game on its head, squeezing a shot past the keeper, before Serj Nabry widened the gap for the Bavarians with a beautiful lob.
Bayern kept pushing for more and Lewandowski added the fourth with a fine header in the 66th minute to set a new personal best of 44 goals in a single season in all competitions.
And just before the final whistle, Leverkusen scored their secood of the day, via 17-year-old Florian Wirtz, but it was a mere consolation.
